Shop Local & Win - February 1 - 14, 2026

It’s easy: shop anywhere downtown, drop your receipt into a ballot box, and you’re entered. The more you shop, the more chances you have to win.

Last year, nearly 3,000 entries were submitted and some winners spent under $10 and walked away with over $600 in prizes from local businesses.

Contest Rules & Regulations

Rules & Regulations for We Love Downtown Maple Ridge Contest (referred to hereafter as Contest)

1. Each **receipt from a downtown business between February 1st to February 14th, 2026, is a valid entry into our contest.  **See below for exclusions.

2. Print your full name and phone number on the receipt. 

3. Drop into a ballot bag.  Receipts can be dropped off at any of our participating business. Click the TAB "Participating Businesses" to view members accepting receipts.  You can also drop it off at our office, Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 4:00pm (34-22374 Lougheed Hwy).

4. There is no limit to the number of entries. 

5. ** Exclusions: Alcohol, tobacco,  and gaming/lottery purchase receipts are not eligible.

6. Contestants must be 18 years of age or older to participate and must present valid government-issued photo identification at prize pickup to confirm age and identity.

7. DMRBIA employees are ineligible to enter.

8. For a no purchase necessary entry, visit one of our participating members and request a ballot to fill out. Only 1 free entry per day. 

9. Prize draws will be held at the DMRBIA office on Friday, February 20th, 2026 at 10:00 am. Prize packages will be drawn in order of value, starting with the highest-valued prize. Each entrant is eligible to win one (1) prize package only. If an entrant’s name is drawn more than once, any subsequent draw will be deemed invalid and a new entry will be selected. Winners will be notified by phone and provided instructions on how to collect their prize. Prizes are accepted as awarded, with no exceptions or exchanges.

CONSENT TO PERSONAL INFORMATION USE AND DISCLOSURE:

By participating in the Contest, entrants consent to Downtown Maple Ridge Business Improvement Association's (DMRBIA) collection, use and disclosure of the personal information provided in contest entries for the administration of the Contest. In addition all winners will consent for the use of their names, images and video works from the We Love Downtown Maple Ridge promotion 2026 to be utilized by the DMRBIA at any given time for advertising purposes.

OTHER RULES:

Downtown Maple Ridge Business Improvement Association and its representatives are not responsible or liable, jointly or severally, for any of the following:

erroneous, damaged, destroyed, lost, late, incomplete, illegible, incorrectly addressed or misdirected entries, regardless of the cause;

failure for any reason whatsoever of selected entrants to receive a prize notification;

changes in entrants’ telephone or email after entries are submitted;

computer, online, telephone, communication, or technical malfunctions or errors that may occur, regardless of the cause; or

damage or loss, including any loss of use, loss of production, loss of profits (anticipated or otherwise), loss of markets, economic loss, special, indirect or consequential loss or damage or punitive damages, whether in contract, tort or under any other theory of law or equity, arising from, connected with, or relating to the Contest, or the submission of entries to the Contest, or participation in the Contest, or the prize, and regardless of the cause or any negligence by any of Downtown Maple Ridge Business Improvement Association, or any person or entity for whom any of them are responsible, and notwithstanding that any of those entities or persons may have been advised of the possibility of such loss or damage being incurred. If for any reason Downtown Maple Ridge Business Improvement Association determines, at its sole discretion, that the Contest is not capable of being conducted as intended by Downtown Maple Ridge Business Improvement Association for any reason whatsoever, including tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud or any other cause that corrupts or interferes with the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest, Downtown Maple Ridge Business Improvement Association may in its sole discretion disqualify any entrant responsible for such misconduct and withdraw, cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend all or any part of the Contests by publishing a notice on the Downtown Maple Ridge Business Improvement Association website. Decisions by or selection of Contest winners by representatives of Downtown Maple Ridge Business Improvement Association regarding any and all aspects of the Contest are final and binding on all entrants.

The Contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations, and are void where prohibited by law. If any provision of these Rules is found by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unenforceable, all other provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Participation in the Contest constitutes acceptance and agreement to these Rules.
