Façade Improvement Program
Application Deadline April 1st, 2026
Are you wanting to spruce up your building and business façade with the addition of some decorative details? Hankering for a fresh coat of paint on your building? Pining for updated signage, awnings, lighting? Not sure how to pay for any of this yourself in today’s tough economic times?
The FACADE IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM, a collaboration between the Downtown Maple Ridge Business Improvement Association and the City of Maple Ridge, provides grants to property and business owners in Downtown Maple Ridge to renovate, restore or redesign their commercial building facades and storefronts. The purpose of this program is to continue the revitalization of the downtown core by improving the physical appearance of the buildings and therefore making downtown a more inviting and interesting place to shop, walk, live and play.
We encourage you to read the Façade Improvement Program material on this page and call the DMRBIA office or email (inquiries@downtownmapleridge.ca) to discuss any proposed improvements to your building. The list of eligible improvements is extensive, the application is simple and straightforward, and the dreaded red-tape is kept to a minimum, even with the District's requirements.
Please keep in mind:
- It is mandatory to apply for a DMRBIA Façade Improvement grant BEFORE starting project.
- All 2026 projects have to be completed and paid for before Dec. 31, 2026 to be eligible.
